My Kitchen


Sob. The days of photo film are really over. I grew up with this, had several darkrooms and enjoyed the smells of the chemicals. Sure some of the films and some of the chemicals are still available but they are expensive.

Digital photography has so many advantages now that it's been around for a while. Better sensors, more mega-pixels and lots of options for image processing beyond Photoshop— NIK, Creative Suite, Macphun and all the little apps in the camera, I mean smart phone. All the photos here are from an iPhone 6s. Not exactly "fine art" but if you don't make them too big, they look good.

My first panorama— my kitchen while I was cooking dinner. I never would have taken my film camera into the kitchen like this but the iPhone is so small and flexible you can hang up a call and photograph what's infront of you, easy-peasy.

I take this everywhere I go anyway. I hear more and more people talk about leaving their big DSLRs behind in favor of their phone cameras. Most photos are just posted on the web and the nice, high quality of a 36MP DSLR shot is wasted there. Of course the lenses...
