Down along the creek are some interesting views, especially in the Spring when the foliage is out. The stark brooding look that haunts some overcast Winter days gives way to green grass and amazing sprays of new growth.

The trail along this end of Peters Creek is nice and dark. It is also part of the Bay Area Ridge Trail.

There are plenty of more places to visit and trails to hike in Long Ridge Open Space: Hickory Oaks Trail, Ward Road, School Road and Ranch Spring Trail. I avoid this park when the cyclists are there, hopefully I'll get there next winter.
